Hello! Welcome to my JOUR 2060 website!

My name is Cheyanne Watkinson. I am a 2nd/3rd year TRU student in the Bachelor of Communications and Digital Journalism, Majoring in Public Relations.

I am 26 years old and my hometown is Lillooet, BC (~2hrs from Kamloops). My background various from multiple fields; wildfire, cultural heritage, and communications. I am currently working as a Communications Specialist for St’át’imc Government Services (SGS), located in Lillooet. I have the privelaged to be supported by my organization to pursue and complete my degree.

My passions are driven by my community orientated mindset, and I strive to be an asset to my Nation (St’át’imc) and the local Lillooet community. In my personal time, I am proactive in some local community board of directors for some of our sports (hockey + golf), I organize charity hockey tournaments to support local non-profits, and I also help with coaching.
